Titanium Anode Rod For Water Heater
THT Titanium Anode Rod for Water Heater, also known as the Power Titanium Anode Rod, works without the need for any added chemicals. It uses electrochemical reactions to control the release of electrons, making the water heater or tank negatively charged. This effectively protects the internal metal surfaces from oxidation, preventing corrosion, rust, and the buildup of scale. Unlike traditional magnesium anode rods, the THT Titanium Anode Rod does not react with water and does not produce hydrogen sulfide gas, thereby avoiding the common rotten egg odor, reduces scale and is a commonly used anticorrosive cathodic protection for water tanks.
The components of titanium anode rods for water heaters include: titanium as the base material, coated with a layer of precious metal to enhance corrosion resistance and electrochemical properties; the end is equipped with conductive wires or metal connectors, which is convenient to connect with the internal circuitry of the water heater to ensure stable current conduction.

Working Principle
Traditional magnesium anode rods react with water during use, producing an unpleasant rotten egg odor and bringing discomfort to the use environment. When THT titanium anode rod is used in water heater, under the energized state, titanium anode rod as anode undergoes electrochemical reaction in the water, generating a stable titanium oxide film layer. This film layer not only protects the titanium anode rod itself from corrosion, but also oxidizes with corrosive substances in the water, releasing a trace of electrons, playing the role of “sacrificial anode” and avoiding the corrosion of the water heater’s inner liner and other metal parts. Compared with the traditional magnesium anode rod, titanium anode rod has a longer service life of up to 20 years, which greatly extends the service life of the water heater, reduces the cost of frequent maintenance and replacement, and provides users with more efficient, environmentally friendly and long-lasting anticorrosion protection.
Installation Precautions
1.Before installing titanium anode rods, it is important to make sure that the water heater is disconnected from electricity, water and gas to ensure safe operation and avoid any electrical or water flow related accidents.
2. Select the right size of titanium anode rod according to the model and size of the water heater. The correct size will ensure that the anode rod works properly in the water heater and gives full play to the anti-corrosion protection.
3. After installing the titanium anode rod, be sure to check the connection between the rod and the water heater to make sure it is not loose. Loose connections may lead to unstable current, affecting the electrochemical reaction effect of the anode rod, which in turn affects the protection effect of the water heater.
4. Tape, metal antioxidant, screwdriver or box cutter are required to remove the insulation layer inside the water heater during installation to ensure that the titanium anode rods are properly installed and in contact with the water for optimal performance.
5. Regularly check the water quality, especially for corrosive substances such as chloride ions, which can affect the working life of the titanium anode rod. It is also important to check for corrosion of the titanium anode rods.

It can be used in stainless steel tanks, but make sure that the water quality environment is good and no corrosive substances.
It can also be applied in well water rich in sulfur and other minerals, heat exchangers, pumps, boilers.
