About THT Production
THT AMS 4911 Titanium Sheet is produced using a multiple melting process. The first melting takes place in a vacuum self-consuming furnace and the ingot is then further refined by vacuum arc remelting (VAR). The entire melting process takes place in a vacuum environment at an absolute pressure of no more than 1000 mmHg and is protected by argon or helium gas. During cold and hot rolling, the chemical composition and mechanical properties are controlled in strict accordance with AMS 4911. The annealing process is carried out in the temperature range of 704-899°C, in accordance with AMS 2750 standards, with temperature tolerances strictly controlled to ±14°C, to ensure that the titanium sheet has excellent quality and consistency.THT AMS 4911 Titanium Sheet has excellent dimensional accuracy, flatness, and uniform thickness, which ensures that every titanium sheet is reliable and consistent in use.
About THT Test
THT AMS 4911 Titanium Sheet is subject to stringent quality control, with transverse and longitudinal biphasic tensile tests in addition to the usual chemical composition and mechanical properties tests. Each batch of titanium sheet must pass a rigorous bending test with traceable results. In addition, titanium plates are subjected to metallographic cross-sectional microstructure testing at 400x magnification and ultrasonic testing. For titanium plates with a thickness greater than 12.7mm, they all meet A1 grade requirements to ensure that the quality of each plate meets the stringent standards of aerospace and other demanding fields.
