Grade 2 titanium sheet belongs to commercial pure titanium plate（CP titanium plate）, also known as industrial pure titanium plate, it is also called UNS R50400 titanium plate and 3.7035 titanium plate. Gr2 titanium plate is an α-type titanium plate, mainly composed of 99% titanium and trace amounts of nitrogen, carbon, oxygen, iron, hydrogen, and other elements. The production of Grade 2 titanium plate is mainly through melting, forging, rolling, acid-base washing, and annealing. THT Grade 2 titanium sheets are widely used in the medical field, including applications such as pacemakers, artificial heart valves, medical device housings used in hospitals, surgical instruments, implants, surgical forceps, surgical steel needles, and more. This is primarily due to titanium’s biocompatibility, corrosion resistance, and excellent mechanical properties. Additionally, some artificial joints and other orthopedic implants, such as artificial hip joints, artificial knee joints, bone plates, etc., also utilize Grade 2 titanium sheets.

For good corrosion resistance and strength, THT Grade 2 titanium plates suits marine, chemical processing, and seawater desalination working, such as in the production of titanium anodes using Grade 2 titanium plates.

What is difference between Grade 2 titanium sheet and other pure titanium sheet?
The main differences between Grade 2 titanium plate and other pure titanium plates is mainly on their chemical composition, mechanical properties.
Compared to other commercial pure titanium grades, Grade 2 titanium plate has slightly lower strength than Grade 3 and Grade 4 titanium plates, but stronger than Grade 1 titanium plate. Grade 2 offers an excellent balance of medium strength and reasonable ductility.
