Titanium Bar Gr7
THT Titanium Bar Gr7 contains 0.12-0.25% palladium, which greatly enhances crevice corrosion resistance and maintains excellent stability in corrosive media such as chlorides, dilute hydrochloric acid, and sulphuric acid, making it one of the most corrosion-resistant of all titanium alloys, especially for use in harsh environments prone to crevice corrosion, such as chemical plants.

Why THT Titanium Bar Gr7
THT can produce Titanium Bar Gr7 in a range of diameters from 1.5-500mm and can adjust the palladium content to meet different working conditions according to customers’ application requirements and cost control.Titanium Bar Gr7, commonly known as titanium-palladium alloy bar, is made from our titanium sponge by three times melting, which ensures a homogeneous composition of titanium and maximum removal of gaseous impurities such as oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen. This reduces the risk of defects and improves the corrosion resistance and stability of the material.
During the production process, we strictly control the forging, extrusion, rolling, cold drawing and other processes, and carry out comprehensive quality testing, including:
1. Chemical composition analysis: to ensure that the composition of each titanium bar meets the standard;
2. Mechanical properties testing: to ensure high strength and toughness;
3. Metallographic organisation testing: to provide A3-A4 grade metallographic structure;
4. Ultrasonic testing: to achieve the highest A grade to ensure no internal defects.
The dimensions, straightness, tolerance and perpendicularity of the finished titanium rods are strictly tested to meet the customer’s demand for precision.
Application
Our Titanium Bar Gr7 is widely used in chemical equipment and marine engineering due to their excellent corrosion resistance, and are particularly suited to handling the rigours of acidic and salt water environments.
1.Chemical Processing Equipment
In chemical processing, where equipment is often exposed to acidic corrosive media and requires high corrosion resistance, Titanium Grade 7 has excellent crevice corrosion resistance and can be used to manufacture key components such as Gr7 titanium piping, Gr7 titanium reactors and Gr7 titanium heat exchangers. The use of Titanium Grade 7 not only significantly extends equipment life, but also reduces maintenance and replacement costs due to corrosion.
2. Marine Engineering
In the marine environment, Titanium Grade 7 shows excellent resistance to salt water and chloride corrosion, which makes it suitable for harsh marine conditions. Its excellent mechanical properties and impact resistance allow it to be used in brine concentration, seawater evaporation and desalination plants, offshore platform structures and other offshore equipment.Titanium Grade 7 provides both long-lasting resistance to corrosion and excellent structural stability in offshore applications, guaranteeing the reliability and longevity of offshore equipment.
