Stainless Steel Filter Cartridge VS Titanium Filter Cartridge
THT metal filter cartridge is designed with a robust internal support structure that combines high porosity with excellent separation and filtration efficiency, and can last up to twice as long as ordinary sintered powder metal filters, significantly reducing replacement frequency and maintenance costs.
Stainless steel filter cartridge and titanium filter cartridge are common used and difference as below:
- Corrosion resistance: Titanium Filter Cartridge performs better in highly corrosive environments (e.g., high chlorine ions, seawater, acidic and alkaline media)
- Weight: Titanium’s density is much lower than stainless steel, suitable for light weight requirements.
- Cost: Stainless Steel Filter Cartridges are more cost effective and suitable for applications with limited budgets and corrosion requirements.
Metal Filter Cartridge Classifications
1. Shape
Cylindrical Cartridge: Standard cylindrical shape, universal design for industrial filtration
Disc Cartridge: Flat disc structure, suitable for compact equipments with limited space
Flat Cylindrical Cartridge: low cylindrical structure, specially designed for the working conditions with limited installation height
Pleated Cartridge: Pleated three-dimensional structure, effectively increasing the filtration area and improving the filtration efficiency
2. According to the classification of filter materials, THTmetal filter cartridge can be divided into the following:
Sintered Mesh Filter Element: Multi-layer metal mesh sintered, high filtration precision, can be washed repeatedly.
Sintered Felt Filter Cartridge: Metal fibre sintered, excellent porosity, suitable for fine filtration.
Metal Powder Sintered Filter: Metal micro-powder sintered at high temperature, high pressure and high temperature resistance, first choice for extreme working conditions.
