Production Processing
Our titanium damascus rods are made from three or more types of pure titanium and titanium alloys through the stack forging process, where different materials are layered together and then twisted, extruded, straightened and cut to form titanium mascot rod blanks. The finished billet is polished to remove surface oxides in preparation for subsequent coloring.
In the coloring process, the first step is heating. Due to the different compositions of the materials in the titanium mosaic bar, the thickness of the oxide layer formed at different temperatures varies, and this difference leads to different wavelengths of reflected light, thus presenting a colorful color effect. By controlling the heating temperature, titanium mosaic rods are able to display a wide range of colors such as red, yellow, blue, golden yellow, orange, pink, or iridescent, and the color changes with temperature.
Another coloring method is through the anodic oxidation process, so that the surface of the titanium damascus rod forms a dense oxide layer, producing a long-lasting and uniform color effect.
