Production Processing
Our titanium square bar production process includes melting, hot forging, hot rolling, cold drawing, straightening, heat treatment and surface treatment. Different from normal titanium rod production, THT uses square dies or four-roll mills in the hot rolling stage to ensure that the shape and size of the titanium square bars meet high-precision standards. During the cold drawing process, we use square dies to ensure that the force in all directions during drawing is uniform to avoid deformation or damage to the four corners. In addition, THT’s straightening process has extremely high requirements, and the accuracy and symmetry of the four corners are fully considered to ensure that the final product has excellent straightness and shape stability.

About our titanium square bar heat treatment
Our titanium square rods are produced and delivered in an annealed state. The specific process is to put the titanium square bar in a vacuum annealing furnace for processing in a vacuum or inert gas environment. For pure titanium (such as Gr1, Gr2), the heating temperature is controlled at 600-750°C; while titanium alloys (such as Gr5) are heated to 700-800°C. After reaching the required temperature, the insulation time is 1-2 hours, and then slowly cooled in natural air. This annealing process effectively eliminates internal stress and significantly improves the plasticity and toughness of the titanium square bar.

Our batches of titanium square bars are rolled, and the four corners are generally rounded rather than sharp to avoid breakage during use. If the four corners need to be right angles, they need to be machined separately.
