Platinum Plated Titanium Anode VS MMO Titanium Anode
We could manufacture platinum plated titanium anode and mmo titanium anode in our factory. To choose right titanium anode type, we should know its difference well:
- Coating: Platinum plated titanium anode features as Pt coating with a thickness of 0.5-5 μm. MMO titanium anode employs ruthenium iridium oxide or iridium tantalum oxide ,coating thickness 5-20um.
- Application: Platinum plated titanium anodes are primarily used for hydrogen evolution. MMO titanium anodes are mainly used for chlorine evolution or oxygen evolution.
- Cost: For equivalent surface area, platinum plated titanium anodes are more expensive.

1. Surface roughness treatment: Utilizes high-pressure abrasive blasting to precisely control the surface roughness of the titanium substrate.
2. Acidic surface Treatment: Removes oxides and contaminants with acidic solutions, activating the chemical reactivity of the titanium surface to enhance platinum coating adhesion.
3. Precision Coating Process: Utilizes roller brush coating technology to achieve uniform coating coverage on complex geometries (including micro-components and irregular structures), ensuring process consistency.
4. High-Temperature Sintering Reinforcement: Each coating step is followed by 400°C sintering (1-2 hours), inducing chemical reactions between the platinum coating and titanium substrate to form a dense intermetallic bond layer.
